To add a hitch to a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas, I recommend the Draw-Tite item # 76176. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your VW with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 6,000 lbs towing capacity and a 900 lbs maximum tongue weight.

I really like the Draw-Tite Hitch item # 76176 because the crosstube mounts behind the rear bumper cover leaving only the 2" receiver visible. This not only looks better it helps with ground clearance.

I have attached a couple of pictures below along with an installation video to help you get this hitch set up and show you what it looks like once installed.

To add a hitch to your Atlas, you will want the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C67WR. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side rear access panels. It will provide you with a 4-flat connector.

To round out your towing setup, I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
