I have an older trailer 2003 with dexter axles the part# on the brakes is 023-217-00 . what is the replacement part for this ?

The Dexter brake assembly 023-217-00 is a 10 x 2 1/4" brake for 3.5K axles that fits on a 4 bolt mounting flange. So, for a replacement you can use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA.
These braking assemblies are self adjusting which won't require periodic manual adjustments, e-coated to resist corrosion, and includes the mounting hardware for install.
