What Trailer Rim Widths Fit a 205/75R15 Size Trailer Tire

Question:

I have a 1985 Komfort travel trailer with ST205 75R 15 tires and dexstar 4 lug 9.44mm rims but how do I tell with the tire on if it is a 5 or 6 inch wide rim or does it matter?

A 205/75R15 size trailer tire has an overall diameter of 27-inches when inflated and will fit on four different widths of rim: 5-inch, 5-1/2-inch, 6-inch and 6-1/2-inch. Tire sizes of 13-inches and larger will fit on multiple rim widths.
