You only need to trim a portion of the plastic cover under your 2024 Kia Carnival to install either of the hitches you asked about:
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C67ER
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e36KR
I added a portion of the instructions which shows you exactly how much trimming is needed. This is a plastic cover on the underside of your Carnival, and you can easily trim it with Tin Snips # PT79ZR.
