Features to know about

Add Real Utility to Your Ride: Class III 2" Hitch Receiver for Everyday Hauling

This hitch gives you a 2" x 2" receiver opening and a Class III rating with up to 4,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 600 lbs tongue weight. It’s ready for most common accessories like bike racks, cargo carriers, or small trailer setups. Whether you’re towing light loads or carrying gear for an outing, it’s built strong enough for regular use without being overkill for everyday needs.

Built to Stay Solid: Fully Welded, Bolt-On Steel Construction

The hitch is precision, robotically welded for consistent strength and a reliable fit. It bolts directly to your vehicle’s frame with no drilling or welding required, using the included hardware. That means you can install it right in your driveway with basic tools instead of a full shop setup. Once mounted, the fully welded steel design keeps it sturdy mile after mile.

Keep It Looking Good: Matte Black Powder Coat That Hides Scuffs

Instead of a glossy finish that shows every scrape, this hitch has a matte black powder coat over a protective base layer. It gives the steel a rugged, carbide-like look and helps resist rust and corrosion from road grime and weather. The finish also hides dirt and dings better, so it stays looking clean longer even after regular use.

Side-by-side comparison of matte carbide black powder coat finish versus glossy black finish on trailer hitch surfaces, illustrating the matte texture that hides dirt and scratches better than glossy paint.

Close-up comparison showing matte carbide black powder coat versus glossy black finish on hitch metal surfaces, emphasizing durability, rust resistance, and dirt-hiding properties.

Ready for Your Projects: Complete Hardware Kit and Lifetime Support

You get everything needed for mounting right out of the box — the bolt kit and installation instructions are included. The hitch isn’t just about towing; it opens up options for all types of hitch-mounted gear like cargo platforms and bike carriers so you can make the most of your vehicle’s versatility.

Well made and skillfully installed

Great hitch, no complaints.

by:

High-quality. Really recommend it.

by:

Product was a perfect fit. Installation was per instructions. The most time consuming was working around the muffler for which I recommend 19m ratchet wrench. I'm 75 and installed by myself.

by:

Perfect fit for my 2024 Kia Carnival. However, packaging could have been better. The hitch was shrink wrapped and not boxed which allow scratches in several places during shipment.

Shop elsewhere! My hitch was delivered with no box, no hardware, no instructions, and all scratched up. Customer service was not much help only offering me $15 off my order so I could buy touch up paint! My time wasted was worth more than that. I won't make the same mistake twice.

Im sorry to see that your hitch has received some scratches on it due to shipping. This does tend to happen and when it does, we recommend using a Rust-oleum type paint to cover up any scratches and prevent corrosion in the future during use. I have a link below for your reference. I see that our customer service department has gotten in touch with you about this issue.

Fit great and was easy to install on 2022 kia Carnival

by:

Having jack stands made install easy

by:

One of the six bolts was difficult to install because it was hidden above other items. Otherwise, the installation was OK and the product performs as expected.

by:

E-Trailer Rocks, I was very thankful to receive great customer service from their knowledgable staff. Stoked to get this installed and working properly. Easy installation process was much appreciated!

by:

Super easy to install and very well bui lt!

by:

Don’t but from etrailer. I had previous experiences that were great and ignored the reviews that stated the packaging was poor. Well, my hitch came scratched up bad and not just the parts you couldn’t see. The main receiver was scratched up too. Additionally, one of the 6 bolts was defective and the head was as rounded off. I contacted etrailer and they sent another out, but too late for me to use the hitch the weekend I needed it. No offer to discount for the scratches or not including the correct parts. I’ll go elsewhere from now on.

by:

You need heavier packaging to protect product. No big deal, but I had to touch it up. Would've given you a five but for that. Everything fit properly. I cut the plastic housing on the car a lot less than the instructions, so it was a cleaner install. Thanks!

The hitch is showing no signs of rust or other issues. I have a Khul bike rack that fits into the receiver allowing me to carry ebikes, or you could get a luggage or scooter carrier. I wouldnt recomend hauling a boat with a Kia Carnival, but I could move it if I had to

by:

Install was fairly simple, but you will need an angle adapter with an extension for the socket to install one of the bolts on the passenger side. Even with three contact points disconnected from the exhaust, there was no way to get it out of the way to install one of the bolts.
Rather than cutting the recommended area on the cover on the drive's side I chose to cut out just the area needed and slide it over the hitch before mounting the hitch. Photos are attached.

by:

Always great service and how to videos are always so timely. Thank you etrailer

by:

Hitch was shipped wrapped in plastic instead of in a box, so of course it arrived with nicks and scratches everywhere. This poor rating is for etrailer's packaging, not the hitch itself.

by:

Works great, easy to install.

by:

Worked well and looks good.

Just installed this on my 2024 Carnival along with the wire harness CU94FR. This was my third hitch from etrailer I have installed and was most challenging due to limited clearance on passenger side. Details of experience below:

SHIPPING: As others note they only lightly package this in plastic so expect that you will have some wear and scratches in some places escially on longer distances (i was only 15 miles away). We bought a black paint marker to cover. Wish they would allow local pickup again.

INSTALL: I did struggle to get the exhaust lowered. getting that first isolator off was tough but eventually managed it using soapy water, a pry bar, block of wood, and screw driver. Do clean out the screw holes with penetrating oil as recommended. I did it twice because screws were still tough to go in after first time. You will need a 2nd pair of hands to get hitch in place. Getting to the bolts under the exhaust is difficult. I had both a flexible extender and a u joint to get it done. Even then I had to use a wrench to finish tightening the forward most bolt so was not able to torque it. For the plastic cover I only cut a hole out and not the whole piece as instructed so it would have better coverage (see pic). you have to twist a bit to get it over the hitch but not hard. make sure you put over hitch before securing hitch to car. Liked the way it turned out and did not add issue in install. the hitch will cover the button hole so I did not get that back on (might work if put through cover before tightening). Multi-tool with blade worked perfect for cutout. Overall took about 4 hrs for me including installing the wire harness.

by:

It was difficult to get one of the bolts torqued because the exhaust pipe was in the way. I had to use an open end wrench to get it as tight as possible. This is not a problem for me because I only plan to have a bike rack installed in the hitch and not tow a trailer ever.

A crow foot would be your best bet to get that bolt properly torqued. Even though you're not towing with the hitch, you might sell the vehicle in the future and the new owner might want to tow with it.....

by:

Had a slight issue with the delivery but Paula T took care of everything! Great customer service!

by:

The hitch was amazingly easy to install. Works well with no issues. My only complaint is there was some damage on one of the ends as the plastic wrap had been torn over the corners at the end of the bar. It’s cosmetic damage for now and nothing visible from outside of the car, my only worry is it took the finish off down to the metal and it may rust over time. Otherwise, order was fantastic, delivered in 3 days. Instructions were clear.

by:

Hitch is great. Instructions were on point. Helpful to have a swivel joint on the socket wrench. There is one screw that is tough but a long extension worked great. I did take off two muffler hangers to give a little more room.

  • Will The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e36KR Fit A 2025 Kia Carnival Hybrid
Hey George, The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e36KR is listed as a fit for all 2025 Kia Carnival models so it would be a fit for your Hybrid. If you plan on towing a trailer or adding on lights to a bike rack or cargo carrier then you'll also need to pick up the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236 to transfer over your light signals. I've attached some videos below where Jake and Ian will help walk you through the installation process.

  • Why Are There Only Class III Trailer Hitches Available For 2025 Kia Carnival Hybrid EX
Hey Christian, good question. And you're right, for your 2025 Carnival Hybrid EX, all the available custom-fit hitches are Class III rated with capacities that exceed what your minivan can handle. The simple answer here is that while your Hybrid EX maxes out at 1,000 pound towing, other versions/models of the Carnival can handle up to 3,500 pounds. Since the etrailer Class III # e36KR you were looking at fits all models of the '25 Carnival, it's tested to exceed that full range of possible...

  • Curt vs. etrailer Trailer Hitch for Kia Carnival: What’s the Difference Between Part C67ER and e36KR
Great question Carlos, the truth is, there’s no real difference between the two hitches: Part # e36KR and Part # C67ER. They’re both made to the same specs, install the same way, and neither one requires any drilling into the frame. The main difference comes down to the finish and branding. The e36KR is the etrailer-branded version and has a matte black finish, while the C67ER is from Curt and has more of a glossy black finish. Personally, I’d go with the etrailer version. I just think...

  • Distance From Hitch Pin Hole To Back Of Receiver On Curt Hitch For 2025 Kia Carnival With VelociRAX
Hey Jo! The distance from the center of the Curt # C67ER hitch pin hole to the back of the receiver is approximately 4-1/4". However, Curt does not allow the use of vertical hanging bike racks with this hitch so you need the etrailer # e36KR instead. Hey Rene, There's literally just one difference between the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e36KR and Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C67ER for your 2025 Kia Carnival, which is the finish. The Curt hitch has a glossy black finish while the etrailer has a matte black finish, but that's the extent of how the hitches differ. Personally I feel the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e36KR will be the least visible receiver for your 2023 Kia Carnival. The design of this is similar to the Curt # C67ER but uses a matte black finish allowing it to blend in better with the factory trim.
