Will Installing EcoHitch EH92KR On 2025 Kia Carnival Void The Vehicle Warranty?

Question:

I’m considering this hitch over oem in a 2025 Carnival. However I’m having a problem understanding how this wouldn’t affect the car warranty since you have to remove the factory impact structure and replace it with this. I’m sure it’s strong, but I just don’t understand how I would be able to get away with that from a liability and warranty standpoint.

Hello Casey, thanks for reaching out. The EcoHitch # EH92KR is the correct fit for your 2024 Kia Carnival. Installing the EcoHitch # EH92KR on your Kia will not void the vehicle warranty. The hitch does replace the impact structure. These kinds of hitches are designed and tested to provide the same safety and support as the factory impact structure.

This is also protected by the Federal Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act which states that unless the aftermarket part installed causes the problem, they must still honor your warranty.

We install this type of hitch very frequently at our shop here in Missouri and we have never heard of any warranty issues coming up.
