Question:
I need a swing arm cargo carrier for my 2018 gx460. I am traveling cross country w a large dog that must exit the rear door several times a day, which swings right. Does not need to open all the way if issue. The carrier needs to carry more weight than the 100lbs yakima. A hard-covered carrier best but will consider a soft-cover as well. Swing is most important…thank you.

If the Yakima EXO Swing Away Enclosed Cargo Carrier # Y62VR is not rated high enough for you, then the other other option we have would be the Yakima EXO Swing Away Cargo Carrier # Y72VR.
This carrier has an increased capacity of 250 lbs and also swings away from the vehicle like # Y62VR, however it does not have a cover so you'd need to supply your own or use something like # GC24FR.
