What kind of lock would work best to strap through the generator? I was thinking a bike lock..

A cable lock like the # e98891 would be the best option to lock your generator to the Stromberg Carlson Trailer Tray Cargo Carrier for A-Frame Trailers # CC-255 you were looking at, or any other part on your trailer. The cable is 10' in length so you could wrap in through the legs of the tray or just down to the trailer frame. You would still need to use some straps to secure the generator to your tray though.
