The Hidden Hitch by Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT96GR will not prevent you from using the kick feature for your hands free liftgate on your 2021 BMW X5. The receiver sits in front of the kick sensor so it will not interfere with the sensor. Do note the center section of the receiver hangs lower than the lower fascia so you will want to be mindful of this when performing the kick to open the liftgate.
I do recommend installing the 4-Way # C59236 when you install the receiver. This will be much easier to access the wiring with the rear bumper fascia removed.
