Will Curt Wiring Harness Require Activating Circuits at Dealer on 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Do I have to go to the dealer to have anything activated for the trailer wiring to work once its installed?

The answer to your question depends on whether or not your 2018 Grand Cherokee has the tow package. Assuming you do have the tow package, the Curt # C55384 will work without the need to take it to the dealer. If you do not have the tow package, the circuits would need to be activated for the wiring harness to function properly. If you don't have the tow package it will probably save you some money to install the # C62VR instead of taking it to the dealer.
