I have a question about a Thule bike rack for my 2022 XC 60 Volvo. I bought one that goes over the hatch at BEPS here in Vicenza, Italy and there is a concern about the spoiler piece being plastic and not metal and perhaps not supporting the bike and rack and possibly damaging the car. I need help with answering the question if there would be future damage to the car with use of the bike rack. Any experience with this? Thank you

@Trina So the Thule Italy company sells different bike racks than the Thule US company that we carry. I would have to recommend you check with the local Thule company/dealer and see if the rack is rated for your vehicle. If it is then you'd have nothing to worry about as the spoiler has been tested.

Sir I bought a Thule outway platform bike rack that's advertised on your site as it is here in Italy.... it is the same bike rack. There is no difference.

@Trina I don't see why it would be a problem then but Thule is really particular about the different companies for the different parts of the world so we technically aren't an authority on the subject for your situation.
