Yes, it will but I have a better option. Instead of the Curt item # CU78FR, I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e29YR. This hitch is identical to the Curt with the exception of the price and color. Both hitches are custom fit for the 2023 Ford Explorer and are manufactured to the exact same specifications.
The etrailer Hitch item # e29YR is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 6,000 lbs towing capacity and a 600 lbs maximum tongue weight. I have linked an installation video below to help you get it set up.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56093 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
