Question:
I have a Thule 943 Spare Me bike rack. The locking knob will screw onto the bike rack but will not lock. The key will turn in the knob cylinder but it doesn’t lock. Do I just need a new lock cylinder or do I need the knob/cylinder/key? I do have a change key. Is the change key just specific for the cylinder that I have or can I use it on a new cylinder? Thanks

Expert Reply:
If turning the key does not lock the knob on your Thule Spare Me bike rack # TH963PRO, it sounds like your need to replace your lock core. If you already have a change key, you can use the # TH75DD for a new lock core and key. If you have a specific key number that you prefer, we should be able to match it if you can provide a key code. Otherwise any key number will do. As long as the lock is stuck in the unlocked position, you will be able to remove the cores.
