Just retired and I am picking up a brand new 2024 Ram 2500 6-1/2 Foot bed and puck system. Do I need a slider hitch or a regular 5th wheel hitch?

Congrats on your retirement and new truck! Since you have the shorter 6-1/2' bed in your 2024 Ram 2500 you will need a sliding 5th wheel hitch. I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider item # BWRVK3670. This hitch has legs that drop right down into the pucks built into your Ram's bed.
