does the companion part # BWRVK3400-5W use the same installation kit as hide a goose part #9464-57. I am driving a 2013 Ram 2500 crew cab diesel with six foot 4 inch bed. Does the fifth wheel hitch just slide into the goose neck ball part

No, the B and W Companion hitch # BWRVK3400-5W and the Hide-A-Goose hitch # 9464-57 do not use the same installation kit. They are specific to their respective hitches. For the B and W hitch you will want to get installation kit and gooseneck hitch # BWGNRK1313-5W for your 2013 Ram 2500 diesel.
Once the installation kit is installed the Companion hitch does fit into the gooseneck ball hole and locks into place the same way the gooseneck ball does. I have included links to the installation instructions for both the hitch and the installation kit.
The Companion hitch uses a square shank which is why it will not fit the Hide-A-Goose hitch. For a similar product for the Hide-A-Goose you can use the Hi-Rise hitch, # 9480. However there is no slider option so you would not be able to make tight turns.
