Installing Brake Controller on 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon without Tow Package

Question:
I’m installing a break controller on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, that I assumed had the towing package. It had the plug under the driver side dash. I installed it and plugged it in but the controller didn’t light up. I read your article about it may need fuses in f36 or f37. The 2 fuse spots do not do not accept fuses. Any thoughts?

You'll most likely want to hardware your brake controller to your vehicle then since the tow package wiring is not completed. So what you'll want to do is run 10 gauge wire from the black wire of the brake controller like part # 10-1-1 (sold by foot) up to vehicle battery positive post through a breaker like # 9510 and then also run a length of 10 gauge wire from the blue wire back to the blue wire of your 7-way and you'd be set.
There isn't a way we can help activate your missing tow package and I am sure it would be pretty expensive to try and do that through Jeep.
