I have the same question as was asked here: https://www.etrailer.com/question-623384.html However, I was wondering. Do you think the hands-free liftgate would still work with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2?

The etrailer class 3 hitch # e23ZR will be a good fit for your vehicle. It likely will affect/interfere with the hands free lift gate sensor. In most cases, the sensor will still work, it just works a bit differently. The hitch receiver basically sits directly below the sensor. So instead of waving your foot right under the sensor, you can wave on either side and still get it to activate. Most folks will tell us that they rarely (if ever) use the sensor, so it makes little difference when one can use the key fob to open the lift gate.
