The port on the dash of your 2013 Ford Explorer Sport is the OBDII port used to access the computer of the vehicle. A brake controller would not plug into that particular port but there is a brake controller port that you can plug into using harness # C51322 for Curt brake controller # C24VV.
The factory port is located beneath the dash, near the center console. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you. All you have to do is mount the controller according to the instructions and then plug in the harness to the controller and the port on the vehicle.
