To add a hitch to your 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C96NR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Jeep with included hardware.
I really like this hitch because it mounts behind your rear bumper and can be completely concealed when you are not towing. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 7,500 lbs towing capacity and a 750 lbs maximum tongue weight.
Please note that you will only be able to store an 18" spare tire with this hitch installed.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C27BR and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
I also recommend using the No-Drill Mount Bracket item # 18136 and the item # C42CR to secure the 4-way connector to your hitch. This will put it in an easy to reach spot and prevent the risk of it falling onto the road.
