Is Fascia Trimming Needed For Draw-Tite Hitch on 2019 Honda CR-V

Question:

Want to install a class 3 hitch on my 2019 Honda CRV EX-L. Every hitch I look at says trimming the facia is nessesary. Even Honda says this needs to be done. But your video for the Draw Tite Max install on a 2019 Honda does not show fasica trimming. My question is why does everyone say facia needs trimmed?My rear hatch does not have the hands free sensor to open it.

While I can't answer for why everyone says fascia needs to be trimmed, you're correct that for your 2019 Honda CR-V, you do not need to trim the fascia on two specific Draw-Tite hitches, which are the following parts:

- 2" Hitch: Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76128

- 1-1/4" Hitch: Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36597

Please note these do not fit the hybrid models of CR-V, but otherwise, if you want to avoid fascia trimming, this is the way. If you plan on doing some towing and also need a 4-way wiring harness the correct part for your '19 CR-V is the Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118741.
