How To Determine The Correct Torque Specifications For a Class IV Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver
Published 08/04/2023 >
Question:
torque specs curt trailer hitch 4 for 2008 ford f 150
asked by: Larry R
Helpful Expert Reply:
Curt lists the torque specs for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C14360 as 210lbs-ft for 5/8" fasteners 110lbs-ft for 1/2" fasteners in the installation instructions, which I've also attached below. Manufacturers do some times change the torque specifications so it's best to look for the most recent version of the installation instructions or check the size and grade of the bolt and using this information to look up the recommend torque specifications.
