Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the UWS Replacement J-Bolts for a crossover style toolbox. So folks, again, this will replace the mount hardware or missing hardware if you bought maybe a used box or something like that. But specifically for attaching a UWS crossover style toolbox to your truck bed rails. You get the two J-bolts, the two washers and the two nuts.
These washers are kinda thick, about an eight-inch thick. And as far as the J-bolts, went ahead and do some measurements here. Overall length was right at about 3 inches long, while the thread length was about 1 7/8ths long. And I was getting about a quarter-inch thick on the bolts themselves. Well, folks, that will wrap it up for our look at this simple UWS Replacement J-Bolt kit.

The design of these hooks is ideal for securing my truck bed decked box. However the length is too short. These will not work in a 2017 Ford Superduty Shortbed.

Bought used toolbox, didnt come with mounting kit. I plan to use this kit to bolt down my toolbox.
This is an exact replacement for the OEM part. The quality is excellent and so is the fit and finish. I'm also glad etrailer sells it.
Their j hooks what can I say. I wish they had the rubber sleeve like the original ones that came with the truck box to protect the truck
These J bolts really work.
I purchased them and installed my toolbox in the bed of my truck, it is full of over 1Ton of chains, towing hookups, hitches, etc.
Feb 2023 I was hit headon by a woman doing over 60mph, my truck was totaled!
The next morning looking at my truck I noticed that the toolbox didn't move at all. I opened it up and checked the bolts, both sides were fine.
I have a new truck now and the toolbox and the same J bolts are in my new truck.
