Question:

I have a 2016 Nissan Quest. I installed this Etrailer hitch and it works fine. But the ground clearance is really low, like 5 inches at the lowest point with no trailer or ball. Is there a better class 3 hitch with better ground clearance than this? I saw one other person asking about it was told the Curt hitch had better clearance, but it was measured from the top of the tube opening rather than the bottom of the hitch itself.

The ground clearance is going to be the same for you 2016 Nissan Quest with both the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13078 and etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98KR.

These are actually the same hitch, just with a different powder coat, which is why the clearance is the same. There isn't another hitch with better ground clearance, it's just unfortunately how the Quest (and similar vehicles) are built, staying pretty low to the ground overall.
