I am installing electric brakes on a trailer that has no brakes. I need to know what the clearance is between the backing plate to the drum. I appreciate your help.

I am not sure which exact dimension you are looking for but the good news is that if you have properly installed brake mounting flanges there would be no need to verify clearance between the brake assemblies and the drums as all of that would be positioned correctly. I attached a help article on adding brakes to a trailer for you to check out as well.
