Question:

2 questions: I have a 2023 Subaru Forester, but I have the Wilderness version, I want to make sure this hitch and wiring will be correct: C13409 C56040 Also, a standard Subaru from the factory hitch is cut into the rear lower panel, while this one is not. This means that this Curt one must be lower to the ground than the Subaru one. Do you know how much lower this Curt one is compared to the Subaru one?

Yes, both the Curt Hitch # C13409 and Wiring # C56040 will fit great on your 2023 Subaru Forester Wilderness model.

I also recommend picking up the Mounting Brackets # C42CR and # C57202 so your wiring connector is readily available next to your hitch receiver.

We haven't had a chance to install this hitch on a 2023 Forester as of yet, but when we installed this hitch on a 2022 model we found from the ground to the top inside of the hitch receiver measured 14" which should be similar for your 2023 Wilderness.
