Should RV Entry Door Glass Be Installed with the Textured Side Facing In or Out
Question:
The glass in my rv exterior door is installed from the factory textured side out. Since the seal goes against the outside glass surface, it seen a better seal would be possible with the smooth side out. How do you recommend the glass be oriented and why?

You are correct, the textured side should be facing inside the trailer and it is for the reason you already nailed. Having the smooth side out will allow for a better grip from the seal.
I have included a video from the Lippert Replacement Window Frame with Seal # LC363370. At about the 2:30 mark of the video he talks about which way the Obscure Glass for RV Entry Doors # LC201495 should be facing and touches on why.
