Depending on the tow vehicle the camera could be getting enough power to turn on and pair but not enough to actually function. If your vehicle has PWM wiring like newer GM or Mercedes vehicles then your running light circuit doesn't send a solid voltage and instead a rapidly pulsing voltage that is causing the camera to struggle to operate. The easiest way to fix this issue is to splice in the 12V PWM Filter # VGR64VR to supply the camera with a steady voltage.
If you don't have a vehicle with PWM wiring then I would remove the rear camera from the mount and plug it into the extra connector on the monitor power cord and try to repair them together and see if you get the same issue. If so, the issue is with either the camera or monitor and you would want to reach out to Furrion for a warranty replacement.
