Recommend Safety Chain Extensions For A 2017 Forest River Wildwood Heritage Glen 326RLS

Greetings, our bumper pull RV is a 2017 Heritage Glen 326RLS. I’m trying to find the correct saftey chain extensions. The trailer weight is 8,200lbs. Most of the 8-12” cable sets are rated to 8,000lbs. Which is as a pair. I’m assuming I need over that capacity each, as the safety chains should handle the gvw individually. Do you carry extensions that have 9,000-12,000lb or 18-24k as pair capacity? The chain is 5/16”. Thanks. Dave

The safety chain extensions would just need to be capable of handling the weight of the trailer as a pair so for 8,200lbs you would be good to go with the ones like the Demco Safety Cable Extensions # DM9523064, which have a 14,000lb break-strength capacity.

The heaviest I have available is the Threaded Quick Link part #C82932. I put these on my dad's 2019 for this same reason. They have a break strength of 16,500lbs each and a safe working load limit of 3300 lb each for a 6600 lb total.
