Question:
I added an extended receiver so I can mount a bike rack as well as my Blue Ox Avail tow bar to my motorhome. How long are the safety cables that come with the Avail. Should I be concerned with stretching them out on a sharp turn?

Expert Reply:
Yes, anytime you extend the connection point of a tow bar like the Blue Ox Avail part # BX7420 with a high-low adapter or dual hitch adapter you will need to extend the safety cables. For this, I recommend the Demco Safety Cable Extensions part # DM9523064. The umbilical cord and breakaway usually have enough slack that you don't need to extend them.
