Question:
I cant find the plug for the quick connect on a 7 pin HM42190 on my 2003 dodge 1500 Ram pickup 5.7 quad cab. It looks like the 4 pin was hardwired in, and as far as I can tell everything if factory.

On my 2004 Dodge Ram (which would be the same as your 2003) the factory trailer connector plug split off from a larger wiring harness on the inboard side of the drivers side frame rail near the rear bumper. There should be a rectangular connector that matches the black connector from the Hopkins Endurance 7-Way Trailer Connector, # HM42190. It may be possible that your truck did not come with the factory trailer wiring for a 7-way trailer connector. That was an option on those trucks from the factory.
If you do not have that connector, then you will need to hard wire a 7-way trailer connector. For this, I recommend the Universal 7-way and 4-way Installation Kit, # ETBC7. Your existing 4-pin trailer connector will plug into the 4-pin connector on the 7-way adapter and you will only have to run the wires for the 12 volt power and electric brakes.
I have attached installation instructions and an installation video of this kit for you to check out. The truck in the video is a 2001 Dodge Ram, but the installation process will be the same. The installation kit will include all parts and hardware necessary to complete the installation.
If you are also interested in a brake controller, I recommend looking at the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller, # 90195, which I have attached below.
