Question:
Good morning, We have a Forest River Salem 31KQBTS and the dealer sold us an Equalizer e4 hitch EQ37100ET. Looking at the numbers, it looks like we are at the top weight rating. If we upgrade to the EQ64FR, do both units share same parts and can we buy specific parts? Or are they all different parts and we need to buy the entire unit? Thank you.

The parts that are different between your 1,000 lb tongue weight rated Equal-i-zer kit part # EQ37100ET and the 1,600 lb tongue weight rated kit part # EQ64FR are just the spring bars and the head of the system. With that said the 1,600 lb tongue weight rated is only one that doesn't have just the spring bars and head available for. So if that is the kit you need you have to go with the # EQ64FR.
But I have another option that I think would be more ideal for you. Since you said you are at the top of your 1,000 lb TW rated system you could go up to the 1,400 lb tongue weight system with just the spring bar # EQ90-02-1499 (sold individually). And then for just the head part # EQ90-02-1400.
