Question:

I have a 2024 Brinkley 3100 that appears to have Rino hitch on it and have been told that a Morryde RPB72-FD will work, is that correct?

With the GVWR of your 2024 Brinkley MODEL Z 3100 5th wheel being 14,995lbs the MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box for 18K to 21K Trailers w/ Lippert Rhino # MR55QR would be a compatible fit, but give you a bad ride quality because the shear spring is designed for a GVWR of 18,000-21,000lbs. With yours being so much lower the spring would give you a stiffer ride, essentially negating the benefit of the spring.

There is the MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box for 11K to 14K Trailers w/ Lippert Rhino # MR44HR which would fall more within your trailer's GVWR and give you a more comfortable ride quality.

Thanks for the info.how would you compare the MORyde you suggested to the stock Rhino that comes with it? Any other pins you would recommend for the Brinkley Z3100? Thanks!

@Bill The Rhino is probably one of the most disliked pin boxes on the market when it comes to the users experience so anything would honestly be better. That being said, I do really like MORryde's selection of pin boxes. They offer a smoother ride quality without costing a fortune like other upgraded pin boxes. The rubber shear spring and glide pads help to eliminate back-and-forth chucking so you don't feel like the trailer is pushing the truck around. For your 2024 Brinkley RV Z-3100 with a Rhino box I recommend the MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box # MR44HR. If you experience more up-and-down motion then the Curt Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC65VR would be the better option. This pin box has an internal air spring and shock to help reduce up-and-down motion and a pivoting head to help reduce front-to-back chucking. This offers more but is priced quite a bit higher because of this. Personally, I'd go with the MORryde pin box to reduce chucking and then add some SumoSprings to the suspension to help cushion it and reduce the up-and-down motion. If this is something you'd like to do I'll need to know the capacity of your axles and whether the leaf springs sit on top or below the axle.
