Looking for a simple way to keep valuables out of sight in your vehicle? This headrest safe replaces your existing headrest with secure, hidden storage that installs quickly and keeps everything protected without taking up extra console space.
When you're making short stops, travel breaks, or running into places where carrying valuables isn't practical, the usual storage spots can leave you wondering what someone would check first. This safe replaces an existing headrest with hidden storage, using automotive-grade components and a black leatherette exterior that blends with the interior instead of looking like a hard lockbox. You can secure a full-size pistol, cash, passports, medications, jewelry, or electronics in a low-profile spot that doesn't use console space, then get back in the vehicle and know exactly where your items are.
A long day in and out of the vehicle calls for access that doesn't depend on one entry method working perfectly every time. The biometric locking system gives you fingerprint access, and the steel locking system includes keypad and hard key override access for backup. The biometric system runs on two AAA batteries (not included), so you have multiple ways to open the safe and retrieve what you stored before heading to the next stop.
A loose storage box can slide, get moved, or turn into the first thing someone notices once they look inside the cabin. The seat-locking mechanism secures the safe to the seat, and the heavy-duty steel construction uses an 18-gauge body with a 16-gauge door around the storage compartment. Once installed on the passenger seat, the safe has a fixed location the driver can reach from the front seat, and stored items go back into the same secured spot each time.
When the goal is short-term storage, the compartment needs to fit the item you brought without turning the front cabin into a catch-all. The safe has 6" tall x 3-1/2" wide x 8-1/2" long interior dimensions and can hold a full-size pistol, with padded interior lining to reduce movement and rattling during travel. Your firearm or smaller valuables sit in a defined padded space, and the rest of the cabin stays free of loose items while you drive.
Replacing only one headrest can make the front seats look mismatched, which can draw the eye even when the storage itself is meant to stay subtle. The bundle includes a companion headrest to match the driver seat. The front seats continue to look like they belong together, and the storage location draws less attention when someone looks through the windows.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at the Headrest Safe with a leatherette black finish. So folks, if you're constantly traveling with valuables in your vehicle, whether it's pistols, valuables, jewelry, large sums of cash, who knows, documents that you need kept, the big concern is keeping them secure without making it obvious to people that are outside of your car that, hey, there's something in here worth stealing. So we put 'em in a glove box, we put things in our center console, we put it under the seat sometimes, cover it with a jacket. Well, all that is easy for people to get into if they really still want, right So here's a solution.
Get some headrests that look exactly like your stock headrests and have a nice full metal safe to protect your valuables. So one of the standout features to me is that this is gonna reduce clutter, but also that it is a simple, easy to use, access, excuse me, as far as the safe, getting in and out of your valuables. So all you have to do is reach over to the passenger side headrest, boom. Now I can get into the safe. Now, I left this unlocked earlier, but you have a couple ways to get into the safe from here.
So you have a biometric (tone beeping) that unlocks it. Now I can twist it unlocked, get inside, I can retrieve my valuables, and everything here is nice and safe and secure. Now, this does come with a foam insert, and I'll show you that in a second. But I wanted to show you how this comes together. So you have these legs here, these two pins, these can go wider or thinner like they have 'em now to fit any headrest out there.
And then to cover that up, we have heavy duty foam inserts that go into the base, along with, again, if you had, like, a pistol or something for concealed carry, the barrel would fit in there, and that would go in the very back. And that would keep everything nice and secure and from rattling around and everything. And again, it's pretty deep. It's about 8 1/2 inches deep, 6 inches tall inside, and about 3 1/2 inches wide at the base there. And then again, you can simply just lock it.
And then if you don't wanna use biometrics, you can program it to have a key code. And finally, worst case scenario, the batteries die on the keypad and everything, you got a set of keys. Now to get to the key, it is behind this knob here. There's a tool that comes with it, like a little Allen tool, if you will. And you'll just take out a set bolt on both sides of this knob and then you can access the key slot to use the keys. And then when you're not using it, it looks just like a normal headrest. And as far as installing it, you do have lots of screws and stuff that I've already preassembled today. You're also gonna get two packs of these spacers, and they come in different sizes each pack. There's enough to do both, and you can kinda see some are thicker than the others. These will go up onto the pin itself and help hide any kind of spacing differences, maybe, from factory to these and those kind of things. And just give it a more finished, clean look. Now, if you notice these pins are silver and these are kinda blackened, I just have a demo model here today, so ignore that color difference. Yours will match, and they should both be that shiny metal there. So again, folks, this is a black leatherette finish, so it should match most trucks, SUVs, cars, et cetera that have that same black interior. We do carry these in multiple color options as well, from tan to dark grays and browns and those kinda things as well. So you can check 'em all out here separately at etrailer. That's gonna wrap up our look together. I'm Steven. Thanks so much for watching, and have a great day.
