You'll need to check the recreational towing or emergency towing section of your 2017 Chevy Suburban's owner's manual to determine if your vehicle is physically capable of being flat towed. If so then I have the following component recommendations:
Baseplate: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-523179-5. This baseplate will only fit non-Z71 1500 models with 4WD. If you have a Z71 model then you'll need the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-523195-5 instead.
Tow Bar: etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e84ZR. This tow bar has safety cables bracketed to the arms so you won't have to purchase any separately or worry about them dragging on the ground and being damaged. The head and shank offer a few inches of adjustability to help keep the tow bar level between the motorhome and Suburban. It also has a 10.5K capacity so you'll be able to load a bit of stuff in your Suburban and still be under capacity.
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit will splice into your Suburban's tail light wiring to display your motorhome's traffic signals through the tail lights of the Suburban.
Since the battery must be disconnected while you tow I recommend also installing the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect with Switch # RM-766 to make disconnecting and reconnecting the battery as simple as pushing a button.
Braking System: Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700. This braking system is a one-time installation that will be ready to go with no additional setup whenever you're ready to flat tow.
Since the brake light switch wire isn't usable in your Suburban you will need to also install a Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751463 to connect the indicator light from the # RM-8700 to so that you can see when the brakes are being activated in the Suburban.
