How To Determine Which Grease Seal Fits Dexter 6,000lb Axle

I have a Dexter 9555296 axel 6000 lbs looking for rear seal

Your Dexter 6,000lbs axle more than likely uses the grease seal # RG06-070 which has a 2.250" I.D. and the standard 3.376" O.D, though some use the smaller seal # GS-2125DL that has a 2.125" I.D. instead.

The only way to confirm this is look for a part number on your current seal, or use digital calipers # PTW80157 to measure the location of the spindle shown in the diagram.

Since the seals are so cheap I'd just buy both so you have whichever you need, and then you know exactly what you need for next time.
