Correct 4-Way For 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Without Factory Tow Package

Question:

i think i bought the wrong model # I bought a 56009 and i have used curt before installed fine however will not work. Lights on Cherokee work properly but output to trailer or test light is not right. How would i tell if my model Cherokee is equipped with tow package? i noticed there was one model for tow package and one without. Thanks for any help you can give me. My jeep is 2008 Grand cherokee larado with a 3.7 gas engine.

If your 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee had the factory tow package you would already have a 7-way at the rear of your vehicle, so you would know as that connector would already be there. The correct 4-way for your 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee without the factory tow package is the T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56009.
