My trailer tires call for 80psi cold- how high should pressure go after driving for a while? Tires are on a dual axle under a 38foot 10000 lb travel trailer.

Depending on how much temperature change your tires see during the day you can typically see the pressure change up to 10psi between hot and cold. As a general rule of thumb tire pressure increases by 1psi for every 10 degrees Fahrenheit of temperature change. Having a tire like the Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10303 which is rated for 80psi cold if you take long trips into different climates you may want to adjust the tire pressure while you drive to best protect you from blowouts. So if you leave and you see a temperature of 50 degrees but along the journey you stop for lunch and the tires cool but due to it being 90 degress and changing your cold temperature to 84 psi you can lower it back with the tires cool to the 80psi the tires are rated for. This can be hectic to constantly change tire pressures but will help better protect your tires.
You should really consider a TPMS system like the TireMinder i10 TPMS # TM89FR as it will monitor both tire pressure and temperature while you drive of 4 tires. This will warn you if the pressure or temperature gets to high which can help prevent a blow out.
