If you're getting a fault with your Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector # AT36681 then I would first ensure that there's no presence of propane and then would cut power to the detector for a few minutes to let it fully power down. Once it's been off for a bit you can reconnect the power, if the fault occurs again then the detector is either at the end of it's lifespan and is telling you so via the fault light or the power supply running to it isn't 12v and you'll need to recharge your trailer battery so that it can properly power the detector.

You can replace your detector with the same # AT36681 or switch over to a newer system like the RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector - Black # RS54FR (white # RS34FR). These detectors are surface mount-styled and come with two sets of trim pieces to easily cover up the holes left behind from older in-wall detectors.
