Question:
I have the ST205/75R14, 8 ply D105/101 L, 65 PSI Cold, Speed Rating 75 MPH tires on my camper. What should I use for High Pressure, Low pressure, and High Temp settings on tire monitor?

Expert Reply:
The high pressure alarm of your TPMS system should be set at 20-25% over your normal tire pressure and the low pressure alarm should be set at 10% below your normal tire pressure so that you can address the issue before it becomes a problem.
For the temperature I recommend setting the high temp sensor to 158 degrees Fahrenheit. If you have a tire that gets to this temp, then you likely have a problem. Setting it at 158 degrees Fahrenheit will give you enough time to get off the road before your tire starts to get damaged from the heat.
Since these tires are on a camper that will be sitting most of the time I recommend picking up some tire covers like part # 052963762402 (Gray # CA80083) to help protect the sidewalls from damaging UV rays, and extend the life of your tires.
