There isn't a trailer brake controller port on a 2003 Freightliner XC Chassis. Therefore, in order to install a trailer brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 you'll need to hardware to the battery, brake pedal, and trailer connector. In order to do this you'll need the Wiring Kit for 2, 4, 6, and 8 Brake Electric Trailer Brake Controllers part # 5506 as well as some extra wires, the Deka Jacketed 2 Wire part # 10-2-1.

We have a Tekonsha P3 that has to be installed in a 2001 Airstream Land Yacht XL395, Freightliner chassis. I know I have to hardwire it in. Can you identify the parts I'll need to install the P3? Thanks

@AllenP Does the Airstream have a 7-way already? If so you just need wire that will go from where you mount the controller to the back of the vehicle, wire to go up to the vehicle battery, and then wire to the stoplight circuit.
