Tailgate Assist Recommendation to Lower and Raise 2003 Dodge Ram Tailgate

Question:
which of the items listed will be the best to help lower the tailgate easy and also to help lift it to the closed position. My truck is a 2003 dodge ram.

The Dee Zee Tail Gate Lowering System # DZ43300 is confirmed as a fit for your 2003 Dodge Ram Pick up. It will work great to help you lower the tailgate, but it is not designed to assist while raising your tailgate.
We do also have the Hopkins Truck Bed Accessories # 74211 that is designed to help raise your tailgate, however it is not intended to help in lowering your tailgate.
Both of these items are confirmed as a fit for your truck, and are not intended to be used in conjunction with each other. Since your primary concern is to help lower the tailgate I recommend using the Dee Zee Tailgate assist option.
