Will the Hopkins EasyLift Work with the DeeZee Tailgate Assist on a 2003 Dodge Ram Pickup

can you use item #74211 easy lift along with DEE ZEE tailgate assist or is it one or the other

I looked at the install instructions for both the Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Lift Assist part # 74211 and the DeeZee Tailgate Assist Custom Tailgate-Lowering System part # DZ43300 for your 2003 Dodge Ram Pickup. They both install in different locations on your tailgate therefore should work well together though it has not been tested yet.
It is also important to note that some have experienced a floating tailgate meaning the tailgate will not extend all the way down without force as the two mechanisms are working together to hold it up. This may or may not be of a concern to you as it all depends on the weight of the tailgate and over time as the parts wear down, should be of no issue.
