Question:

I just ordered one of these to replace an older yakima lock non-SKS. I got the old one out OK. Howeverhow is the new housing supposed to stay affixed to the rack? I see where the little clip holds the lock from the backside, just like my newer SKS-keyed lock. The old lock had a fitted housing on the front around where the key went in to keep the lock in place. The lock housing doesnt have this.

I made a video showing how to install the new lock housing and lock for you. Hopefully you are using the new housing on a Yakima Q Tower for a roof rack. If you are trying to install it in something else, let me know what it is and I can help. The video will appear on this page.
