Question:

If the campground pedastal has an open ground/neutral not allowing the power watchdog to work can you plug this in to clear the issue if you cant get the park to fix it?

If the open neutral occurs in the campground pedestal you're only getting one hot line, and there's not a return path for the electricity, so there would be no current flow. If you have an open ground it means that there isn't a ground connected to the receptacle and this could cause damage to your trailer if there's a power surge.

The Hughes Autoformers Ground Neutral Bonded Plug for Generators # HU33FR is only designed to plug into a 15A AC socket on a generator with floating neutrals to prevent an open neutral or open ground error on a generator. This would not make sing the campground pedestal safe to use. The campground needs to fix the issue before anyone can use that pedestal.

The Power Watchdog you're using is functioning correctly by preventing you from using the pedestal and risking damage to your trailer/RV.
