Question:

Want to purchase the 18153 Carrier and 988501 Lg bag for my 2011 Honda Pilot two wheel drive . Any issues you know of with opening the trunk lift gate? Folding issues of the carrier itself?

We have not had any operational or functional issues with the Curt Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier, # C18151, or the Extra Large Cargo Bag, # 988501. You will most likely not be able to open your rear hatch with the cargo bag loaded with cargo. This would be the case on almost any van or SUV and with almost any cargo carrier and cargo bag.

To ensure that the carrier will fold up without hitting your rear bumper, you will want to take one important measurement. Measure from the center of the hitch pin hole on your trailer hitch to the rear-most point on your bumper. The Curt cargo carrier measures 9 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the carrier when folded up. If you have less than 9 inches from our hitch pin hole to the bumper, then this cargo carrier will fit.
