2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport S Ive already inquired about the baseplate # RM-521453-4 that will fit my Jeep and match up with my Roadmaster tow bar with quick connect crossbar. After watching installation video, do I even need the quick connect at all? Wouldnt I be better off with the direct connect? What do you recommend?

Whenever possible I recommend going with the Direct Connect like the part # RM-521453-5 for your 2020 Jeep Gladiator over the Crossbar version part # RM-521453-4 as it's just an overall easier and simpler solution. Less parts to keep track of and just easier to connect and disconnect.
