Installation of B&W Mounting Brackets On a 2016 Ram 2500 When Installing Patriot Slider 5TH Wheel

2016 ram 2500 diesel- Hey Yall love you guys. Always helpful. Now questions on install of custom fifth wheel rail brackets. The difficulty with the front left bracket pops up regularly, So 1- can wiring pop in things attached to harness go back into holes, and is there any clearance issues? 2-Right side larger spacer hole 7/8that goes thru top of bed. Is the thru hole a 9/16 and the 7/8 hole drilled thru top of bed and stops at bottom of channel, to hold larger spacer in place.? Directions not specific, but that would make sense. 3-Will order patriot BW slider. Is this hitch rail specific, or will most standard rails fit.? Not an issue, just curious What say ye? Thanks

I have linked an installation video we have for the B&W Custom Installation Kit # BWRVK2602 which will help you with the installation on your 2016 Ram 2500. This kit includes the Custom Mounting Brackets # BWRVR2602 and Base Rails # BWRVR3210.
For your first question, the mounting bracket on the front drivers side will cover some of the holes the wiring clips into. You will not have clearance issues. The second question you are only drilling the 7/8" holes on the top of the bed. This will allow you to slide the spacer sleeves into the channel to support the weight of the 5th wheel hitch. Finally I recommend using the same manufacturer for the rails as you use for the mounting brackets. These rails are linked above and come with the installation kit the video is showing for install. While the Industry Standard Rails all have the same slots for the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3270, I have seen the mounting holes for the rails be different between different manufacturers.
