Question:
Hi there, I’m not sure what model I have of the maxx air fan. I think it may be 4500k model but not certain. Hopefully that doesn’t matter. But my problem is that it won’t turn on. It does have power however. I know this because if I turn the handle to open the fan lid. If I open it up halfway. Then cut power and then turn on the power. The fan will automatically wind the vent all the way shut. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The first thing to check on your MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan is still going to be the power and ground. You'll need to take a voltmeter like # PT89ZR and ensure that the vent is getting a full 12 volts of power otherwise it could only partially work, like you've been experiencing. Next is ensuring you have a good ground connection.
From there you'd be looking at replacing the circuit board. These are model specific so you'll need to take a look at yours and see the exact model number.
