Question:
Do I need to jack my utility trailer tires off the ground to prevent flat spots if I am only using it every 3-6 months? I have a Big Tex 35SA, it weighs ~1,000lbs, has a single axel, and radial tires which I keep fully inflated. Is it light enough that parking it on the tires is not a big deal?

You definitely can lift your trailer off the ground with some jack stands # PTW41021 to help prevent flat spots from forming on the trailer tires. With your trailer being that light it would probably take longer than 3-6 months for flat spots to form but it doesn't hurt to be overly cautious.
It really is going to come down to the weight of the trailer and the quality of the tires, but this isn't something that's been tested so it's hard to give a definitive answer on how long is ok. I'd personally just lift it from the rear just enough to get the tires off the ground and not have to worry about the tires having flat spots the next time I need to use it.
