Recommended Rack for Truck with Retrax XR Tonneau Cover Hauling Both Bikes and Kayaks

Question:
I’m looking for a truck bed rack system to fit my retrax pro xr bed cover with t-slot. I plan on carrying a pair of bicycles and pair of 13’ kayaks, while pulling my travel trailer. The truck is a 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 with a short bed. Looks like many choices out there - a bit overwhelming. Thanks!

I do have some options for you but if you want to haul kayaks at one time or another, you'll need a ladder rack to extend above the height of the cab. Otherwise, your trailer would hit the kayaks if you just had them over the bed with a mid height rack. Therefore, I recommend the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack for Tonneau Cover part # Y01151-5955 which will mount in the tracks of the Retrax XR Tonneau Cover and it has adjustable height uprights so you can raise them when hauling kayaks or lower them when hauling bikes.
